2016 Nissan Kicks Engine

The new Nissan SUV will have a powertrain similar to that of Honda HR-V or Jeep Renegade. The main engine will be a 1.6-liter I4, capable of generating 220 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. Another engine expected in the Kicks is a 3.2-liter SkyActive, capable of producing 240 horsepower and large amounts of torque. These engines will be paired with a 7-speed manual transmission. The new car is expected to have high fuel efficiency. Fuel consumption will be up to 25 mpg in cities and 32 mpg highways.

Even though there are no leads we can pursue to know about engine specifications of 2016 Nissan Kicks, we can speculate this car to be powered by a 1.6 litre engine similar to that of Nissan Extrem. The powertrain will be offered in both turbo charging and direct injection modules that Nissan likes to refer as “DIG-T”. This engine will be able to produce a capable amount of horsepower to torque ratio. Keep your eyes glued to this section as we will reveal more information as we get to the release date.

While the engine powering the Nissan Kicks is still being kept a secret, we expect the new crossover SUV to inherit the 1.6-liter flex-fuel engine that has powered the Nissan Sunny or the Nissan Versa, depending on the market. Aside from this petrol engine, the Kicks will likely come with a diesel option as well. We predict that the diesel options will be either a 1.5 or a 1.6 liter Turbo-Diesel. The fuel consumption numbers are not yet known, but we suspect that Nissan will try to offer some highly efficient figures.
